Hello fellow ASEs,

Our April Monthly Member Meeting is around the corner on April 2nd, at 6PM! RSVP here for a link. As a reminder, these meetings happen on the first Tuesday of every month.

This month, we’ll be focused on contract enforcement. Now that we’ve won a contract, we need to ensure that our new rights, protections and benefits are upheld. Grievances are one important way that we can enforce our rights if WSU does not follow the contract. Next week’s meeting will feature a panel of organizers from other local unions who will speak about how they’ve used the grievance process to enforce their rights and strengthen the power of their contracts and how we can do the same!

Our agenda will also include:

  • A vote to approve our newly developed bylaws. The bylaws committee that we elected in March has finalized a draft of our bylaws. Please review them here, ahead of the April Meeting.
  • Information and dates for the upcoming elections for the executive board of our union including President, Vice President, Trustees, and more.
  • An update from Pullman City Council delivered personally by Councilmembers Carla De Lira and Eric Fejeran.

Be sure to RSVP and send the link to fellow ASEs!

Become a member today!

If you haven’t yet, please fill out this form to become a dues paying member of our Union! Only members can vote in official union business, like the elections and bylaws votes described above.

Dues are 1.44% of your monthly wage + a one-time $10 initiation fee. These dues fund access to valuable resources, including legal assistance to ensure that our rights are protected, staffing for our union, and more. Together, we can create a stronger, more equitable academic environment that prioritizes the well-being and success of all ASEs.

Website Updates!

Our 4591 Communications Committee (CommComm) is working on updating the website! Check out our new page here to read through the contract & get to know your rights! Here’s a sneak peek example of an upcoming Before vs After to see how our benefits and rights have improved with our new contract.
