This morning, the President of the WSU Chapter of the American Association of University Professors (AAUP) delivered a letter to Chancellor Chilton and President Schulz signed by over 100 supportive WSU faculty and staff members demanding that WSU Admin reach an agreement quickly and fairly with our bargaining team. It is clear that we are not alone in our desire to reach a fair first contract quickly and efficiently. Our entire community is frustrated by how long negotiations have already taken, and we are united in the effort to hold WSU Admin accountable for:
- Ensuring livable wages
- Improving access and affordability of healthcare
- Protecting ASEs from discrimination and harassment
Faculty and staff are supportive of our efforts to secure rights and benefits that ensure that we are supported with pay and working conditions that allow them to focus on providing high quality research and teaching.
