This past Wednesday, we hosted our first Town Hall on the wages proposal! The Wages Workgroup presented their research, framing for our proposal to increase base wages, and context for how other ASE unions have made wins on wages. During the Town Hall Q&A, folks brought up a lot of important questions about the proposal, such as base wage increases, raises for all, experienced-based and campus-based increases, and narrative framing for the proposal presentation.

We also discussed the key ingredient to winning the wage proposal we want and deserve – organizing! Organizing around wages is happening in our Collective Action Team (CAT). CAT is a group of ASEs that communicate and mobilize fellow ASEs into action around issues we care about like wages. CAT meets once a week for 1 hour Mondays 1pm! All ASEs are welcome to join CAT (click here!). No experience needed!

We will be presenting some important proposals on Wednesday, including Wages and Healthcare. Showing up to bargaining can help show management how crucial these issues are for ASEs, and we suspect it will be very enlightening to hear their take on our wages and healthcare. You can RSVP here!
