Sign the Authorization Card

Forming a union is a democratic process. Instead of holding a representation election, we intend to obtain union recognition by having a majority of WSU Academic Student Employees (ASEs) sign union authorization cards (click here to learn more). When a majority of us sign cards to authorize our representation by UAW, the Washington State Public Employee Relations Commission will count the cards and approve our petition to form a union. We can then begin bargaining with WSU. No one will pay any dues or fees until the collective bargaining agreement has been approved by a vote of ASEs. Learn more here about the process.

To sign the card, complete the form and receive a PDF card via email or physical card in the mail to print, sign, and date. Please note, you MUST physically sign and date the card in order for it to be counted. We strongly recommend using a single pen with blue or black ink.

To return the card, you may either:

  • Scan or photograph your card with the original signature and date and email it to card@wsucase.org or text the photo to (425) 272-5495; or
  • Mail your original signature to us at WSU-CASE/UAW, PO Box #665, Pullman, WA 99163

If you have any questions about the card, please contact us.
